THE COMPANYThey are an owner managed real estate investment manager with £1bn of AUM invested on behalf of financial institutions, family office's and UHNW. Due to further expansion, they have a newly created role for a financial accountant who is either a finalist or qualified ACCA, CIMA OR ACA to join a very small finance team. Your role within the company will grow with the growth of the company.

THE ROLEThe role reports to the Finance Director. This is a hands-on accounting role where you will take responsibility for day-to-day administration, accounting and reporting of UK based entities and also helps support other team Finance Managers of the investment funds.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Finalist or qualified accountant CIMA, ACA OR ACCA qualified with experience of financial accounting.
- A minimum of 24 months accounting experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and several stakeholder requirements
- Strong team player, conscientious, responsible, proactive, enthusiastic, motivated and hands on and takes pride in delivery of their work.
- Strong Excel skills (V Lookup and Pivot tables) and accounting technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational skills
- Must enjoy Finance and have a desire to learn and develop and pursue their career within accountancy.

THE ROLEThe role reports to the Finance Director. This is a hands-on accounting role where you will take responsibility for day-to-day administration, accounting and reporting of UK based entities and also helps support other team Finance Managers of the investment funds.
- Liaising with the business in terms of raising sales invoices and collecting debtors and liaison with the business in terms of approving and paying purchase invoices; This will currently comprise 20-25% of the role until automated.
- Responsibility for ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled incl. bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll etc.
- Responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts with understanding of outputs and written commentary against budget; It is possible depending on experience you may have full responsibility
- Preparing timely quarterly VAT returns;
- Supporting the year end audit process and statutory reporting;
- Preparing company secretarial filings and responsibility for maintaining structure charts;
- Preparing P&L and cash flow forecasts with analytical context and supporting the annual budgeting process.
