MAJOR DUTIES
- Solves complex quantitative problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Works within broad guidelines and policies.
- A bachelor's degree in a designated STEM field (engineering, computer science, quantitative finance).
- 2+ years' experience in a risk management role at a large financial institution, preferably an Asset Manager.
- Understands models used in investments and has knowledge of risks associated with Investments and AI/ML models.
- Strong statistical background and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of control design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- Requires conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Applies best practices and how own area integrates with others.
- Is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
- Experience with Model Risk Management governance.
- Strong technical writing skills, oral communication, and presentation skills are mandatory.
- Advanced Excel Knowledge.
- Experienced in a programming language such as Python, SQL, or R.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as GIT is desired.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Power BI is desired
- Azure cloud experience a plus.
- Experience in office technology such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word is required.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations such as SR 11-7, SR 15-18/19, SS1/23, and Basel Final rules is preferred.
