Senior Manager, APAC Market & Clearing Operations, Singapore
The APAC run team is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of LCH clearing services within the APAC time zone. It is the first point of contact of to resolve issues for members, clients and regulatory authorities and has the ultimate responsibility of ensuring a positive client experience across LCH products. The team works closely with internal and external partner to ensure operations are run efficiently and resiliently, and queries and issues are followed through to resolution. The candidate should maintain a good working relationship with Central Banks, PPS Banks, Concentration Banks, Custodians, Members and Clearing brokers, as well as internal partners. This is a highly visible role, working with sales and marketing as well as senior management.
The successful candidate should possess proven experience in clearing and related trade workflow and Collateral management. Examples include various life-cycle events across the services such as margin runs, compression offering and portfolio transfers. They should have experience leading a team, the ability to work to timeframes, and be able to influence partners across geographical locations. They should be pro-active, confident and well-presented and take ownership of processes in their remit.
As a People Leader, they be will responsible for ensuring they and their team deliver the running of core business processes, applying expertise and managing partners where vital.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Applies expertise and past experience to resolve high-risk, business-critical operational risks in an accurate and timely manner, utilising communications and corrective actions to limit the operational, reputational and financial impact on the Group
- Applies experience to predict and prevent future operational issues, staying abreast of and implementing internal and external best practices
- Builds and maintains good relationships with partners internally (Compliance, Risk, sales, etc.) and externally (e.g. clients, regulators, vendors), improving the reputation of LSEG
- Produces and interprets management reports for senior partners, analysing and explaining favourable and adverse outcomes
- Coordinates large, complex planned and unplanned process changes and product/service developments, ensuring all vital testing is conducted
- Partners with internal teams to explore and build the operational configuration of new products, ascertaining the feasibility, cost, impact, and operational requirements of the project
- Contributes significantly to large-scale projects and change initiatives outside of own day-to-day responsibilities, utilising subject matter expertise to advise on the operational change requirements
- Leads the performance and development of an Operations team
- Deputises at key meetings and as necessary.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, ideally with a degree in finance or business related
- In-depth understanding of end to end trade flow for Interest Rate Swaps with proven experience within an Investment Bank or Financial Institution in one of the following areas;
- Client Services/ Middle Office
- Treasury/Collateral
- Risk management/ product control
- Clearing and Settlement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
- Able to work in team environment and demonstrate working to deadlines;
- Strong numerical proficiency (advanced Excel user);
- Experience with using Murex and/or Calypso an advantage;
- Knowledge and understanding of Austraclear, RITS, MAS payments systems, and SWIFT messaging would be an advantage;
- Able to establish and maintain relationships at all levels both within and outside the organisation.
