Our Client is a leading fund management firm specializing in private equity. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional investment performance and client service. They are seeking a Finance Associate to join their Finance dynamic team and play a critical role in managing their financial operations.

Job Overview:

The role will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions within the fund management company. This individual will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, manage accounting staff, and work closely with the CFO to implement financial strategies and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure the successful completion of audit processes.
  2. Accounting Operations:

    • Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
    • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making.
  4. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory guidelines
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
    • Develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures.
  6. Financial Analysis:

    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support investment decisions and performance evaluations.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or financial management
  • Experience in the fund management industry or financial services sector is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
