Position Title: Investor Accounting / Loan Servicing Admin

Reports To: Loan Servicing Manager

Department: Loan Servicing/Investor Accounting

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Purpose : The Investor Accounting / Loan Servicing Admin is a fully onsite position responsible for backing up the investor accounting area in all functions to include investor remittance, reconciliations of loan balance, custodial checking accounts and loan fee general ledger accounts, Investor Custodian accounts, and REIT accounts. In addition, this position will be responsible for logging and imaging all incoming paper loan servicing requests, processing incoming mail and working reports.

Essential Functions :

The major duties of the job that constitute the fundamental tasks and or responsibilities of the position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  1. Act as back-up to Investor Accounting Specialists able to step in and perform reconciliation duties as needed.
  2. Remit all required reports to investors as required per service contracts with each investor or pledgor. Maintain up to date list of loans that are able to be pledged.
  3. Process daily incoming mail, log all incoming paper requests to Salesforce to be worked by the individual loan servicing areas.
  4. Scan all documents received into the system for electronic long-term storage.
  5. Complete quality control audits for investors and third-party service providers.
  6. Review Bank and Investor loan documentation and report exceptions of policies and procedures found to loan servicing management.
  7. Assist with requests for information with respect to both internal exams and audits.
  8. Deliver highest level of customer service to customers, branches and other departments.
  9. Demonstrates the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers and associates. Incorporates the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and service in every facet of work.


Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience :

Required:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Experience: 2+ Years of Loan Servicing or Accounting experience
  • Licenses or Accreditation: N/A

Preferred:
  • Education: Associate Degree/Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior Experience: 5+ years Loan Servicing or Accounting experience
  • Licenses or Accreditation: N/A

  1. Ability to take initiative in problem solving and produces practical decisions and solutions
  2. Able to effectively coach, mentor and develop staff in areas of expertise
  3. Ability to work with all levels of staff and management

Physical Requirements :
  1. Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
  2. Able to lift 10lbs.
  3. Extensive computer usage is required.
  4. Moderate phone usage is required
