Job Description:
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic self-starter with a keen interest in the Commodities business to join the Business CAO Controls team, located in Belfast.
The Controls Execution team are responsible for the accurate and timely completion of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual control processes, for example: UNO trade activity reviews/alerts, policy refreshes, controls relating to firm accounts, entitlements and management of various regulatory certifications for Sales & Trading staff This role will require interaction with the Front Office Sales & Trading desks, timely escalation and remediation of issues, continued drive towards efficiency and closure of any control gaps. Members of the team are required to escalate, investigate and remediate any issues identified through the control processes.

Another key element of this role is:
- Responsibility for performing QA on Controls conducted by the Commodities Control team.
- Role includes creating testing plans, documenting quality issues and working with the Projects, and control team to remediate gaps noted
- Design and implementation of KPI/ Metrics for monitoring controls where applicable
- Performing QA on the sanction screening process for non traditional third Party which is conducted by the Commodities Control Team
- Identify key person dependencies with no procedure documentation in place and remediate
- Document and ensure remediation of Operational Risk Events and Lessons learnt
- Assist on Senior Manager decks preparations
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, technology and trading experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Previous experience in managing projects and/or processes is required
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective work relationship
- Experience with databases and information management
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills including with a senior audience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Having strong and effective teamwork skills will be key
- Problem solving and issue diagnostics is important to this role
- Ability to conduct research/analysis and organize findings including trends.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and ongoing tasks
