The Finance Controllership Team provides financial control and accounting support to LSEG globally. Financial Controllers are responsible for the delivering of high-quality management reporting and controllership.
This role is within the Corporate & Operations Controllership Team and will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting of the Central Corporate areas and Corporate entities in the UK.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Supporting Corporate central function in accounting and reporting processes
- Oversight of entity reporting for corporate entities within the Group
- Oversight of key central corporate activities, such as M&A reporting, people cost, tax indemnity, entity ownership, inter-company.
- Responsible for accounting transactions in the general ledger and sub ledgers, collating, recording, and verifying financial data, and reporting up to Group Finance on a monthly basis.
- Balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation oversight and review in Blackline
- Oversight off Finance payroll accounting processes
- Monthly close activities including the close liaison with global service centers for the posting of journals, identification of accruals, prepayments and cost assurance activities to ensure that results are complete and accurate
- Monthly review and evaluation of balance sheet accounts for business units. Working with the business units, centralized functions and global service centers to resolve issues and minimise risk.
- Assisting in the production of the quarterly and year end submissions for group accounts as required
- Good working knowledge of IFRS
- Proven ability to form strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Proven ability to meet deadlines as well as working to a monthly close timetable
- Clear and effective communicator
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment and drive results
- Self-starter and able to work with changing priorities and time pressures
- Strong customer focus and work ethic
- SAP and/or Oracle knowledge
- Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
