You'll be responsible for interpreting accounting standard changes, collaborating with external audit firms, reviewing financial statements, implementing best practices, coordinating training needs, and supporting the management team in client servicing and new business opportunities.
Accountant Requirements:
- Expertise in investment management gained through fund administration, asset management, or audit roles.
- Proven success in negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of onshore/offshore funds administration, particularly Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Familiarity with the Irish regulatory framework for Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Proficient in leading Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting systems; vendor experience (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) preferred.
- Understanding of how Fund Accounting systems interface with other systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Set and implement best practices to boost client satisfaction and drive ongoing departmental improvement, both internally and externally.
- Review and ensure the delivery of financial statements in compliance with current accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for associated Audit Firms, facilitating technical briefs and staying abreast of industry and regulatory developments.
- Identify and address training needs while establishing performance standards.
- Guide staff in resolving complex financial reporting issues.
- Collaborate with Compliance and other internal stakeholders as necessary.
