VP - Financial Planning & Analysis (Insurance - IFRS 17)

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Financial Insights & Planning: Leverage the new IFRS17 accounting standard to manage Insurance Management Information. Deliver precise performance analysis, forecasting, and annual planning to support critical business decisions.
• Enhance Business Insight: Partner with SG business teams to blend financial performance insights with business knowledge, challenging and improving commercial understanding.
• Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with local Financial Control, actuarial teams, and the Central team to ensure comprehensive financial insights and solutions.
• Improve Processes: Lead efforts to enhance MI processes, including strengthening management information and cost control mechanisms.
• Support Strategic Initiatives: Handle ad hoc financial requests and step in for the Head of Business Finance as needed.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Expertise in Finance & IFRS17: Can consider more junior candidates with 5+ years, as well as more seasoned professionals with 10+ years of relevant experience- including strong knowledge of finance principles and the IFRS17 accounting standard, with a preference for candidates experienced in Life Insurance.
• Analytical Excellence: Exceptional numeracy skills and a proven ability to grasp new financial and technical concepts swiftly. Capable of delivering high-quality analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Commercial Acumen: A strategic mindset aimed at maximizing shareholder returns.
• Proactive Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with a knack for creating impactful reports and presentations. Experience with Qliksense is a plus.
• Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Regular interaction with senior Finance and business leaders.
