Role purpose
Assist the group reporting team in various areas of responsibility related to Treasury Accounting including reconciliation, reporting and audit support
Responsibilities
- Ownership and completion of daily treasury controls, such as bank reconciliations
- Assisting with maintenance and generation of accounting module in the treasury management system (TMS)
- Review and reconciliation of Oracle balances for treasury activity
- Completion of HFM validations for Group reporting
- Preparation of blackline reconciliations and resolving any open issues in account reconciliations
- Preparation of support schedules for the Group audit
- Handle treasury operational risks through establishing, maintaining and driving robust controls
- Providing timely support on audit queries and any audit related requirement
- Analysing the movement in foreign exchange gain or loss and performing the validation of foreign exchange generated on hedging activity.
- Processing of journal entries in oracle and SAP
- Degree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualification
- Strong accounting skills, with a focus on delivering results and be able to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment.
- Qualified or part qualified accountant
- Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues
- Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time and quality
- Strong system skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Experience of Oracle, SAP, HFM and Integrity Treasury Management System are highly desirable.
- Strong process orientation, with ability to design robust control frameworks
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and be prepared to take the lead in resolving issues and improving processes
