Finance Project Manager (Internal Outsourcing)

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Finance Project Manager (Internal Outsourcing) for a 12 Month contract based in Edinburgh (2 days on site).

Purpose of the Role:

• The Finance Project Manager will prepare, manage and provide reporting on all project plans, controls and resource plans.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the weekly Finance Meeting with all Project Managers.
• Reviewing the Project Managers spends including analysing the appropriate statements and prepare estimates for approval.
• Reviewing yearly forecasts/PnL at the end of each month.
• Track and report project costs and make sure that the project is completed in allotted budgets.
• Creating packs to SteerCo.
• Permanent and Contingent recruitment.
• Internal Service Management.
• Identify, track, manage and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Support the creation of a financial business cases.
• Make sure that all project deliverables satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed governance framework.

What we require from the candidate:

• External outsourcing knowledge.
• Experience of internal Service Management.
• 3rd party risk management.
• Internal supply chain.
• Managed budget for 3rd party providers.
• Managing controls including testing controls.
• Configuring service review meeting packs.
• Excel/PowerPoint skills.
• Previous experience within Financial Services.
