About the role:

I am partnered with a large national brand who is on the lookout for a back-office treasury analyst to join their Manchester based team. They are seeking a candidate with a strong accounting background who is prepared to work dynamically across the treasury function to support the development of systems and processes.

Job Purpose:

As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the accounting and reporting of Treasury transactions. You will support daily back-office operations, including payments, processing, and reconciliations. This role also involves collaborating on projects, enhancing processes, and driving workflow improvements to bolster the Treasury function's effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Accounting & Reconciliation: Oversee daily cash accounting tasks, including creating manual journal entries, handling monthly FX accounting, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and distribute treasury-related reports on a monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual basis. Maintain and update procedure manuals and ensure accurate hedge documentation.
  • Project Involvement: Play a key role in the implementation of SAP4 Hana, streamline banking processes, and drive the automation of reporting functions.
  • System Optimisation & Controls: Lead system enhancement initiatives, ensure the effectiveness of controls, and focus on maintaining business continuity.
  • Operational Execution: Manage the processing of treasury payments, conduct bank account reconciliations, address inquiries related to cash, debt, and FX, and manage banking records.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Prior corporate treasury experience
  • Preferably part/fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACT.
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC and Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Knowledge of Integrity, FXall, SAP4 Hana, and online payment platforms is desirable.
