Role: Data Warehouse/ETL Tester

Location: KL, Malaysia

Required Skills:

SQL, all testing deliverable, experience in SCD types & SCD type 2 validation

Basic understanding in any data model.

Job Description:

• Knowledge of dimensional modelling and data warehouse concepts, such as star schemas, snowflakes, dimensions, facts.
• Ability to transform complex Business logic into SQL or PL/SQL queries.
• Knowledge in SCD types & experience in SCD type 2 validation.
• Ensure all sign offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, ) and that testing meets governance requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring quality of their work the work of the entire development team.
• Create SIT test cases/test data and perform Test execution.
• Review Data Models, Data Mappings, Architectural Documentation to create/execute effective SIT Test Plans and SIT test cases.
• Validates data by running queries in the database and verify that the results match the expectations.
• Analyses and troubleshoots erroneous results, determines the root cause of defects, logs the defects in HP Quality Center/ALM and enables defect management, including working with the development team on the resolution of Software related defects.
• Creating requirements traceability matrix (RTM).
• Works closely with software development team (Business Analysts, Developers & other testers) to ensure timely and effective testing effort.
• Solid understanding of databases and systems and the ability to communicate effectively across groups.
• Flexible in thought and creative in approach to testing.
