What it's about
You will work alongside Partners Group's investment professionals in the transaction closing process for Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure investments and Private Debt. Your main responsibility will be to ensure a seamless closing process. You will maintain the overall view of what is required to on-board and bring a transaction to closing, driving and coordinate various related work streams with both internal and external parties. The role will be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
• Work alongside the investment teams in APAC (Singapore, Mumbai, Shanghai, Tokyo and Sydney) and Europe in the investment closing process
• Manage the overall execution and closings of transactions by coordinating and monitoring the status of various workstreams across teams, jurisdictions and asset classes
• Coordinate the equity funding process including the handling of funds flows and capital calls
• Manage external counsels on various closing-related topics such as: equity allocation, internal and external process coordination, set-up/implementation of acquisition structures, closing CPs, execution of transaction documentation, fundings, syndication management and other transaction-specific requirements
• Create and drive the closing steps plan and ensure fulfilment of conditions precedent
• Coordinate with internal teams' various processes related to the set up, execution and internal on-boarding of the transaction
• Identify and drive improvement opportunities for the team and the overall execution process
• Support the broader closer team with ad-hocs and transaction specific needs
What we expect
• Top academic credentials in business administration, economics, finance and/or law
• Experience in private markets/financial services industry or consulting. Previous experience at private equity firm, law firm, advisory firm or similar is preferred
• Previous transactional experience, preferably with exposure to closings of private markets transactions (3-4 years for Associate role, 4-6 years for Sr. Associate role)
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
• Entrepreneurial, driven and proactive mindset
• Strong desire to learn and succeed
• Proficiency in English
