The Regional Lead, Human Resources will oversee a team responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition/on-boarding to employee exit/off-boarding, for multiple countries in the Asia region, with a focus on Singapore. The successful candidate will partner closely with key business stakeholders and employees to address people-related matters. S/he will work effectively with the HR centres of expertise, as well as, other cross-functional teams, to drive successful business outcomes.
Key areas of function will be:
- Partner with business leaders in inculcating the Firm's culture in the specific country, and promote a diverse, inclusive and engaging employee experience.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and development opportunities to the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate with people managers to understand critical requirements, projects, and future skills demand for recruitment and manpower planning, and supervise the talent acquisition activities to ensure timely resource deployment for business operations.
- Onboard new hires, process employee employment changes, and terminations/off-boarding in a timely and accurate manner, and in accordance to regulatory requirements.
- Administer benefits enrollment and on-going administration for medical and insurance benefits, as well as, government claims.
- Partner with external payroll service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing, submission of yearly income tax returns and meet all statutory payroll, tax, government and audit reporting requirements, in a timely manner.
- Act as an advisor to people managers on compliance and regulatory matters, including the handling of employee grievances and employee relations matters.
- Manage country-specific learning and development needs, collaborating with the HR centre of expertise.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislations and HR best practices.
- Continuously review and initiate improvements to internal HR processes, systems and communications towards enhancing operational and service excellence.
- Ensure HR data accuracy, integrity and timeliness is maintained.
- Responsible for adhering to HR budget, encompassing people, recruitment and third-party/outsourcing service costs.
- Proactively managing and reviewing the performance and effectiveness of service providers.
- Ensure all regulatory reporting are submitted on a timely and accurate basis.
What we expect
- Proven relevant experience for at least 12 years in country/regional HR function in a people leadership role, covering the Asia Pacific region.
- At least a Bachelor's in a relevant field, or a human resources management qualification is required.
- Proven experience in managing projects relating to process, systems, and/ or control improvements and thereby proven track of highly organized and structured work approach with strong understanding of HR processes
- Strong interpersonal skills for effectively supporting and advising employees and businesses on HR matters
- Effective communication and presentation skills while collaborating, communicating and presenting to stakeholders across different functions and all levels of seniority in an international setting
- Experience in coaching, while providing proactive, constructive upward and downward feedback
