Job Description:

Leads development and supporting the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s). The job reports on financial results, providing interpretation through in-depth understanding of the business. Provides forecasts and financial plans to drive business results, strategy and decisions.

The successful candidate will support the Capital Reporting activities related to DFAST, MST, and EWST. The candidate will have primary responsibility for the development, maintenance, and execution of financial models, calculation and analysis of stress testing capital results, documentation, and ad hoc deliverables when required. The role involves working and coordinating with cross departmental teams to execute key capital initiatives such as capital issuances, capital repatriations, and M&A (when applicable). This position provides exposure to a diverse group of Finance partners from across the TD organization including those within the Lines of Business, Finance, and Treasury.

Department Overview:

Capital Reporting is responsible projecting RWA, regulatory capital, and capital ratios within TD's Regulatory Stress Testing program. Additionally, this team is responsible for the execution of all capital actions, including dividend distributions, share issuances, share repurchases, and TLAC LTD activities. The scope of this role provides opportunities to work with cross departmental teams with exposure to Finance, LOBs, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.

Depth & Scope:
  • Gathers and reports on financial results vs. plans on an ongoing basis, providing evaluation and interpretation through an in-depth understanding of the business
  • Leads development and supports the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s)
  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with business line management
  • Provides leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff
  • Develops, assigns and monitors plans to ensure completion of goals and objectives
  • Resolves escalated issues and problems by conferring with staff, other internal departments, outside contractors and others as necessary

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics or Master's degree in Finance
  • 7+ years' experience required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Data & Analytics experience
  • SAS coding experience
  • Ability to do analysis (interview people, research, gather information, etc.) to understand current state and summarize the information
  • Strong communication both verbally & in writing, including an ability to understand complex concepts and simplify them
  • Ability to lead stakeholder/SME discussions and manage stakeholder needs/expectations
  • Experience in strategy, presenting or working with executives
  • Experience in story-telling and creating executive presentation material (such as power point)
