Associate, Corporate Simplification, 8 to12 month FTC

Interpath Advisory is a financial advisory business with a broad range of specialisms that was formed to allow our people to do what they do best in an agile, independent and conflict-free setting. Its market leading restructuring department is the largest independent team in the UK. Interpath was previously part of KPMG, before being sold to private equity firm HIG Capital in 2021.

The Corporate Simplification team is a national team that principally delivers Members' Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) engagements for a broad range of clients across all sectors/industries in the UK. These engagements range from dormant company eliminations to large, recently traded entities, partnerships, PLCs and Investment Trusts, and from single entity eliminations to multi-entity Legal Entity Rationalisation (LER) projects, often working alongside tax, legal and accounting specialists.

We have an exciting opportunity for an associate to join the team on a fixed term contract for twelve months to assist with onboarding and delivering MVL/LER engagements.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete pre-liquidation client and engagement acceptance procedures.
• Assist with pre-liquidation due diligence and preparatory steps.
• Correspond with clients.
• Produce legal documentation to commence liquidations and appoint liquidators.
• Complete statutory filing, advertising and notification requirements
• Assist with day-to-day matters, including realising assets, dealing with creditors' claims, processing payments, calculating distributions and drafting reports.
• Monitor liquidation progression and case compliance matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1-3 years of experience in insolvency, consulting, or similar environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks with deadlines
