Audit Assistant Manager - Technology

Responsibilities
As an Audit Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of clients with gross recurring fees of £500k+, focusing on audit services while also engaging in business advisory work.
• Overseeing all aspects of audit and accounts assignments, including job planning, budgeting, and time management.
• Supervising and delegating tasks to audit teams, monitoring progress, and providing detailed file reviews and feedback.
• Reviewing corporation tax computations and liaising with tax specialists.
• Finalizing audit files for partner review and submitting documents to HMRC and Companies House.
• Promoting the firm's interests with clients, prospective clients, and third parties.
• Mentoring and managing junior staff, including trainees, and providing assistance with their development.
• Assisting with internal training and practice development, including identifying business opportunities and participating in client pitches.
• Contributing to administrative tasks such as billing procedures, debt collection, and improving internal systems.
Requirements
• ACA/ACCA qualification or an international equivalent.
• Experience managing both people and a portfolio, with at least 40% audit work.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax and UK auditing/accounting standards.
• Experience auditing professional services or real estate & construction businesses.
• Expertise in UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear, client-focused manner.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and delivering exceptional client care.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
