Role purpose:

This role works with the Group Director of D&A Financial Controlling to improve upstream and downstream finance processes (e.g. revenue accounting, ECL and debt provisioning, manual journal) within Data & Analytics, FTSE and Risk Intelligence businesses and leads smooth integration of newly acquired entities with key focus on integration of finance process, finance system and finance people within the LSEG environment.

Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

1. Process Improvement:
  • Lead and manage Process transformation and process improvement roadmaps within D&A, FTSE and Risk Intelligence Finance stream which primarily includes O2C and R2R processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensures adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies.
  • Drives decisions to standardize processes.
2. Project Management:
  • Lead and manage transformation projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
3. Change Management:
  • Design and execute change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.
  • Actively participates in the development and continuous improvement of global process and technology through documentation, training, testing, and controls.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure global alignment of priorities working in a matrixed environment.
  • Facilitates complex functional and cross functional initiatives.
4. Entity and system Integration:
  • Leads integration of newly acquired entities with key focus on integration of finance process, finance system, finance people and compliance within the LSEG environment
  • Oversee the integration of newly acquired systems or technologies.
  • Transformational change (solution implementation, technology / digital integration, cost optimisation)
  • Enabling technology / digital implementations like automation through MS tools like Power BI, Power Automate, etc. and others
  • Release time and people from transactional work to perform value adding activities whilst maintaining an optimized control environment.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with key senior LSEG Finance controlling, business Finance and FSO stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with business objectives.
6. Performance Monitoring:
  • Defines and implements KPIs and performance measures leveraging best practice benchmarking with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and impact of transformation initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and refine processes based on performance data.
7. Risk Management & Controls:
  • Identify potential risks associated with process changes and system integrations.
  • Develop controls and mitigation strategies to address risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • MBA Finance, CA/ CPA, CIMA, Master Degree in related professional area with 14-17 years of relevant experience
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Finance transformation experience.
  • Subject matter expertise with strong understanding of finance processes (O2C, R2R) and systems
  • Proven experience in automating, simplifying and streamline complex finance processes
  • Collaborative and resilient with a global mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed global environment.
  • Program and project management experience required.
  • Formal continuous improvement (e.g. LEAN / Six Sigma) and project management (e.g. PMP) certification/training (desirable).
  • Stakeholder management experience with ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts.
  • Interpersonal skills: both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly and concisely interact with personnel at all management levels
  • Clear thinking/problem solving; successfully leading projects / operational improvements
  • Flexibility to work per UK hours
