Reporting
- Working closely with the local sales team,the Group Controller must monitor the performance of sales and create adequate reporting systems at Group level.
- Working closely with the Project Management team and the Operation team, the Group controller must monitor the development of construction and operation of the data centers, create a sound reporting system in relation to main KPIs,and harmonize the reporting across the different countries.
- Prepare detailed month-end reports for the CFO,inclusive of forecast (P&L and cash flow), variances and KPI analysis (commercial, operational, financial)
- Create a sound vendor monitoring system in coordination with Contract Management
- Coordinate the implementation and proper application of the Transfer Pricing model across the Group
- Power utilities analytics (cost modeling, forecasting, analysis)
Strategy
- Define and implement appropriate tools to assess the performance of each country(e.g;KPIs for the business, profitability evolution,budgets analysis)
- Perform ROI analyses in accordance with HQ best practices and requests
- Identify potential ad-hoc actions to improve financial and commercial performance of sales across the Group
- Support the definition of the sales pricing model in each Country
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the CFO and the VP Finance in the development of action plans to bridge financial gaps
- Perform scenario analysis
- Collect in-country data on monthly basis to elaborate forecast and variance analysis
- Tracking, reporting, and analyzing budget variances(construction and operation)
- Together with the VP Finance, develop and update the long-term Group Business Plan
- Develop and maintain forecast models for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement of the Group
- Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested by Management
Financial Statements
- IFRS assessment of critical transactions
- Support the audit process with external auditors
- Support year-end financial statements approval process
- Reviewing the company's financial statements to ensure they are accurate, particularly in respect of IFRS application
Internal Audit
- Ensure financial compliance across the Group (corporate policies, IFRS, tax fillings, etc.)
- Review, improve and implement business processes
- Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance and compliance
- Develop and coordinate the reporting for the Audit & Risk Committee at Group level
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations
Profiel
- Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA qualified
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS is a requirement
- Significant experience within function in corporate accounting,financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting and development of policies and procedures.
- Transfer pricing exposure
- Previous exposure to African countries would be considered a plus
- Knowledge of the investment appraisal process(investment choices, NPV,ROIC).
- Advanced knowledge of excel and financial planning
- Previous knowledge/exposure to the data center industry is highly appreciated
