KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with clients and leadership team to proactively solve client problems;
  • Assist clients directly with adhering to all tax and accounting compliance deadlines and lodgements;
  • Work collaboratively with members of the team, to ensure client needs are met
  • Work with high-net-worth individuals and SME clients, to help manage complicated tax matters, including CGT, structuring issues and Division
  • Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards;
  • Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues;
  • Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
  • Checks financial statements and management accounts eliminating adding, referencing and typing errors;
  • Helps identify accounting issues;
  • Applies basic tax compliance procedures;
  • Assists with tax planning for clients;
  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts;
  • Completes requisite regulatory forms; and
  • Complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

Essential:

  • As we are a growing team, we are hiring good people with varying levels of experience - As such, a minimum of 2 years in a similar role is required, but we are looking for talented staff anywhere on their journey
  • Appetite to learn and develop their skillset through dedicated training and on the job learnings
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with staff members at all levels within our team and with our clients directly
  • CA Qualification (or on pathway to completing CA or an equivalent qualification)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work towards deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Business / Commerce degree
