Syndicate Accountant

Syndicate Accountant - 6 month FTC - £60-70k

A leading specialist insurance group is looking to bring on a Syndicate Accountant to cover a gap in the team over the next 6 months. Sitting in close-knit & collaborative team of 6, you will play a pivotal role in the Lloyd's reporting for the Syndicate.

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Syndicate Accountant with strong hands-on experience who is looking to step up and develop their skillset further.

Role:

• Lloyd's reporting: preparation of US & Canadian trading packs, QMA reporting, etc
• UK & US GAAP balance sheet reconciliations
• Annual account preparation for the Syndicate
• Processing & approving journal entries to the GL

Your background:

• 2+ years hands-on Lloyd's reporting experience
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP
• Good GL experience, strong with controls and ensuring accuracy and tidiness across the accounts
• Solvency II knowledge would be ideal, but not essential
