Your new company
A leading disability housing provider is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based in their main office located in Perth's western suburbs.
Your new role
This role will primarily involve performing the full end-to-end Accounts Payable function.
- Managing the accounts inbox.
- Management of new suppliers, including supplier set-up.
- Processing of approved supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding.
- Preparing and processing of supplier payments via payment batches within the finance system, BPAY and EFT payments.
- Preparing inter-entity funds transfers for accounts payments.
- Managing and processing of credit card transactions.
- Bank reconciliations.
- General office duties (ordering of stationery and kitchen supplies).
- Assist with other duties within the finance department as required.
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Bookkeeping experience is preferred but not essential.
- Trust accounting knowledge will also be favourable.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook & Word).
- Previous experience using a Finance system. Experience in XERO is highly regarded.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Has a "can do" attitude and is willing to provide other general office support as required.
