Due to a slight restructuring, the business are seeking a Jersey-based Financial Controller with prior experience as a Financial Controller of Jersey and Luxembourg General Partners within Private Equity Funds. The successful candidate will form part of the Financial Control team and will report to the Financial Control Manager in the Jersey office.
The primary focus of the role is to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of quality financial information, as well as fulfilling statutory requirements around accounting, audit and tax compliance in both locations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance and fund accounting teams within the business. The role will have an emphasis on PE Funds with an added exposure to Debt Funds. Knowledge of carried interest and co-investment investments would also be beneficial.
• Preparation of Financial Statements for Limited companies in IFRS for audit.
• Assist in preparation of Consolidated Group Financial Statements in IFRS for audit.
• Preparation of Financial Statements for Luxembourg sarl's in local GAAP.
• Excellent knowledge of day to day bookkeeping of GP activities.
• Month end close processes for General Partners and other management entities.
• Monthly reconciliation of Income Statement and Balance Sheet account substantiation.
• Cash flow forecasting, contributing towards the effective treasury management of the company's cash reserves.
• Managing annual audit for the entities under remit.
• Ensure local Corporation Tax Returns are accurate and filed in a timely basis.
• Prepare and present financial information to local Boards of Directors.
• Involvement in the annual planning cycle and regular reporting of performance against plan to senior management.
