The Commercial Finance Manager will provide the UK business with effective financial analysis, insights, and reporting. This includes budget management, financial projections, and performance reviews, alongside detailed analysis and commentary on business issues. Working closely with the commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams, the role aims to enhance financial acumen and support the development of current and future business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, this role is a key member of the UK leadership team and oversees two Finance Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily financial leadership and analysis to commercial and marketing teams, as well as other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and analyse company performance using reporting tools to provide recommendations and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the sales team to offer financial analysis that supports pricing, promotions, and advertising & promotion (A&P) strategies, including scenario modeling to ensure desired Net Sales Value (NSV).
- Assist in preparing Latest Estimates for the market 2-3 times per year to help achieve budget goals.
- Manage the annual budgeting process by collecting data on volume, costs, marketing, and operating expenses, and reviewing P&Ls to identify trends.
- Serve as the key financial contact for the company's international finance teams, providing monthly reports and updates.
- Prepare detailed A&P accruals for month-end close, ensuring SAP records are updated.
- Manage account pricing and off-invoice discounts on a monthly/annual basis.
- Continuously evaluate and improve business processes to drive efficiency.
- Analyse management reports, including commentary, to understand and explain variances from budget and prior year figures, as well as to identify future risks and opportunities.
- Conduct financial planning and analysis to identify risks and opportunities, contributing to the company's financial goals.
- Actively participate in the UK leadership team and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and Proximo's international operations.
- Prepare materials for quarterly business reviews and monthly management meetings.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification
- 5+ years of experience with strong financial and analytical skills
- Experience in the BWS/FMCG sectors preferred
- SAP knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong business partnering experience
