Role Purpose
The position is a dynamic team with index management responsibilities across FTSE Russell's fixed income benchmark products. The Index Management team works hand-in-hand with various teams that span across client engagement and development teams in bringing new product solutions to the client; in addition to monitoring fast changing global fixed income landscape and supporting the management of standard and structured indexes.

Role Responsibilities
- Maintains the integrity and accuracy of indexes, review data to ensure completeness, authenticity and its accuracy in reflection of the global fixed income market.
- Builds a broad understanding across FTSE Russell index suites while staying abreast of fixed income market convention and developments to facilitate the construction of new indexes
- Evaluate the investment characteristics that pertains to specific market requirement; assess and advise on global market developments and make proposals of methodology change in collaboration with governance, product and technology teams.
- Performs necessary validations and checks on indexes throughout the trading lifecycle, including real time and ad-hoc monitoring
- Contribute to the benchmark development process to support a rigorous and high quality global fixed income index product suite
- Liaise with cross functional teams to ensure best is class supporting model and continuous upgrade of existing product offering that satisfy client needs as market condition evolves
- Collaborate with Governance teams to ensure good understanding of regulatory requirement and its implication on policy, procedure and controls are applied
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or numerate subjects.
- This is an individual contributor role that requires dealing with multiple priorities and changing requirements.
- Finance, Commerce or equivalent analytical degree with financial market work experience.
