About the position:

The Accounting Associate is at the core of our processing. Through a wide variety of assigned functions by department, they process, reconcile, associate, disburse and provide support. Collaboration and effective communication are key to completing their assignments. Accounting Associates recognize the attention to detail when processing their assigned items and work together as a team. They take pride in their impact and ensure that their accuracy and efficiency lead to successful resolution and results for all.

Responsibilities:
  • Transact assigned items efficiently and effectively following transactional team workflows
  • Create and respond to internal inquires to identify the placement of funds
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve open items
  • Maintain and upkeep internal communications to avoid discrepancies
  • Proactively connect with leadership on items that need escalation or regional assistance
  • Analyze incoming payments to correctly record items into out of Broker Management Systems
  • Attentive to ensuring all tasks assigned are maintained updated and current to prevent a backlog
  • Identify and process statements to apply commissions correctly
  • Identify invoices and statements to ensure reconciliation of payments to our carriers and brokers
  • Ability to identify and track payment patterns
  • Build effective electronic correspondence that engages an effective partnership
  • Additional responsibilities or projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-year experience in accounting/finance/customer service fields preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Flexibility of working additional hours as needed based on business needs
  • Effectively and actively communicate through various channels

Department Accounting & Finance

Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
