Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in the event management industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling project-based transactions and a deep understanding of the financial requirements unique to event management. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis for our various projects and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial aspects related to event projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Handle project-based transactions, ensuring accurate cost allocation, revenue recognition, and expense tracking for each event.
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage budgets for events, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements specific to event projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns related to event management activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with events, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on project-based transactions.
  • Prior experience in the event management industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
