In this role, you will work alongside the relevant Executive Committee members and directly with the CFO to proactively identify opportunities to drive efficiencies and profitability and to optimise the financial performance of the business. All the while maintaining sound financial control and accurate and transparent financial reporting. This will include the autonomy to own the designing and implementation of processes using automation to achieve these efficiencies.

- Overall responsibility to always ensure sound financial control and accurate financial reporting.
- Liaising with Group Finance and other bank wide accounting teams to ensure discipline and compliance with Group Finance timetables
- Overseeing the production of group statutory and regulatory reporting information to ensure all statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements are delivered
- Liaising with other teams in Tax and Regulatory reporting to ensure tax is accounted for appropriately, and the Prudential Advisory and Reporting team to ensure alignment of financial and regulatory information where necessary
- Liaising with Credit Risk and Reporting teams to ensure the timely review of IFRS9
- Challenging and supervising to ensure the accurate production, analysis and reporting of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting
- Challenging and supervising the financial planning process across Lending and Principal Investments
- Upholding an adequate control environment to support our financial control and reporting obligations
- Implementing automated and efficient processes in partnership with IT and other Finance teams
- Coordinating the external audit across the business as the key liaison for external auditors, partnering throughout to timely conclude audits
You will need to be/have
- A qualified accountant with extensive financial services leadership experience, ideally from banking/FCA regulated lending firm
- Flawless attention to detail, as well as deep understanding and knowledge of all the key financial figures and ratios relating to the financial performance, capital, funding and credit of the relevant businesses.
- W working knowledge of IFRS, scanning the horizon and bringing in external best practice and knowledge, to aid in analysing and reporting performance.
- Leadership experience both in managing people and playing a leading role in shaping the financial accounting, reporting and liaising with Auditors.
- You need to have the passion to drive business forward. A highly effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence business and finance strategy, change and performance.
