We are seeking a Research Associate in the Investment Office of our downtown Cleveland wealth management firm.  The Research Associate supports Clearstead's Investment Office by maintaining departmental manager databases and related reports and acting on the team's behalf for critical internal IT, marketing, and other strategic projects.

In this position you will:

  • Provide annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly operational assignments to assist the Research department. 
  • Maintain investment manager databases and ratings processes (public and private markets)
  • Coordinate and produce private markets reports ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Assist senior team members with investment diligence, due diligence write-ups and creating manager updates
  • Participate on calls when necessary, with third party managers, products, and vendors
  • Improve the department’s use of technology in the day-to-day operations by monitoring the performance of manager ratings and the manager database
  • Coordinate operational activities with the firm’s portfolio implementation team and operations team.
  • Attend at Investment Committee meetings on an as-needed basis
  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 0-3 years of related experience within a professional services firm; experience within a financial services institution a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong analytical skills, exhibits great attention to detail and has the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow-through and meeting deadlines are critical
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrated client service skills
  • Strong computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook)
  • Experience in writing and editing business development materials as well as creating and working with spreadsheets, charts and graphs
  • Strong team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Commitment to company values
