Job Description
Credit Analyst (Property Finance, Commercial Banking)
How will I help?
The Credit Analyst is an important role within the Property Portfolio Management team in Commercial Banking and is critical to achieving Westpac's vision. You are primarily accountable for working across the Westpac and BankSA brands operating in the commercial property lending segment to oversee a large portfolio of asset backed Investment and Development lending transactions, including new deal assessment for New To Bank opportunities, conducting annual reviews of customer connections and reviewing customer and sector risks; and providing expert insight and advice across the property segment.
With at least 3 years or more experience working within a bank or non-bank financial institution, you will be familiar with current market trends in Property Lending and have an understanding of construction and development risk as well as investment lending to different classes of property, including; residential, industrial, office and retail sub-sectors. A degree qualification is desirable in either accounting, economics or property disciplines.
You will be a key team member working with Credit Analysts and matrix deal teams including sales and credit partners and their support teams in the preparation and execution of complex customer requirements.
