Job Description
How will I help?
We're seeking an Executive Manager for Stress Testing Business Analysis & Insights to lead our Finance aggregation engine stress testing execution for the annual Group and Industry Stress Testing. This role is vital in meeting APRA's requirements, which involve testing new scenarios each year.
In this position, you'll manage the running of the Finance Aggregation Engine component for both the IST and GST annual processes, with the production of balance sheets, P&L and capital measures. As the subject matter expert in balance sheet management and pricing, you'll maintain key relationships with Finance and Treasury, oversee the production of reports, and ensure the necessary data is collected to run the Finance Aggregation Engine smoothly. You'll also act as the Run and Change Owner of the Finance Aggregation Engine in Alfabet, managing related controls, issues, and incidents.
Leading continuous improvements in the Finance Aggregation Engine and the overall stress testing process will be part of your mandate. You'll have the opportunity to coach and mentor your team of four direct reports, guiding them in their roles and supporting their professional growth. As the owner of the Finance Aggregation Engine, you'll ensure it is validated by Model Risk, updated in Alfabet, and managed effectively.
What's in it for me?
You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for 200 years. Our purpose is to create better futures together. So, we'll back you in the development of your career, internal career prospects, and flexible working. You'll also keep learning to grow your career, backed by a fantastic team of people with a can-do, supportive structure. Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.
What do I need?
We're looking for someone with deep knowledge of finance and treasury concepts, financial markets, systems infrastructure, and both internal and external reporting. You bring experience in climate risk stress testing and having the ability to work with quantitative coding languages would be advantageous. Your high level of numeracy, ability to handle complex spreadsheets, and risk management skills will be crucial in identifying and mitigating risks ahead of time.
With at least 10 years of experience in banking or financial services, particularly in balance sheet management and treasury, your excellent written, communication, and stakeholder management skills will be key in working across multiple levels of our organisation. If you have a continuous improvement mindset and a proven track record of challenging the status quo to develop better processes, we want to hear from you.
What is it like to work there?
We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other. We'll empower you to shape your career path. Through personalised upskilling, mentoring, and training opportunities, you're in control of where you start and how you'll grow.
As an equal opportunity employer, we are proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility - and champions inclusion.
