About the role - Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga
Applications are invited to join us as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor within our School of Accounting, Finance and Economics.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who will bring professional and academic experience to be part of a team dedicated to excellence in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision. You will have the skills and experience to provide leadership and innovation in teaching.
Along with teaching, your well-defined programme of research will help to advance research capacities, develop strategic cross and inter-disciplinary research initiatives, and engage with the community. Those seeking an appointment at the Senior Lecturer or above will have a record of academic leadership that includes mentorship, guidance, encouragement and support for other academic staff in the pursuit of their academic objectives and the development of their professional careers.
The level of appointment will depend on the successful candidate's relevant skills, knowledge and experience, the salary will be in the range of Lecturer from $87,500 to $104,322, Senior Lecturer from $107,177 to $140,599, Associate Professor $142,358 to $157,018 or Professor from $159,950 per year.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or be in the final stages of completion if applying at Lecturer level. You will bring a passion for accounting and preference will be given to candidates with expertise in accounting information systems and/or taxation.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of how your research could enhance professional practice and community. If seeking a senior appointment (SL, AP or Professor), you will be expected to have a research and scholarship record of excellence at a national and international level, along with demonstrated excellence in teaching and successful postgraduate supervision experience in the broad discipline of accounting.
