Job Description
The Reinsurance Treaty Contract Analyst will be responsible for implementing reinsurance treaty agreements protecting Chubb business units, analyzing Chubb treaty reinsurance agreements, identifying terms and conditions, analysis of premium/commission registration, and other attachment criteria. Candidates will interact with a diverse group of internal & external personnel including Divisional Financial Officers, senior underwriters, Ceded Reinsurance buyers & brokers, and Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret and implement treaty reinsurance agreements supporting various Chubb business units
• Complete data analysis and reconciliations for quality control of claims attachment and premium registration
• Assist management with the preparation and development of scheduled reporting needs
• Maintain established measures of business performance in evaluating and controlling monthly production, premium registration by statutory company and line of business
• Partner with Senior Leadership teams to prepare & evaluate ceded premium allocation to accurately impact business unit financial results
• Communicate and resolve issues with Underwriting organization, Finance, and reinsurance intermediary impacting efficient execution of ceded reinsurance programs
• Assists in the planning and implementation of special projects and performs other duties and tasks to meet company objectives within established time frames
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree - concentration in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics
• Technical Skills - strong math aptitude with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Access or SQL is a plus
• Familiarity with Industry - some knowledge of reinsurance operations and industry practices
• Organizational Skills - result orientated with excellent attention to detail
• Self-Leadership - proven ability to work independently, self-motivate, and show initiative
• Communication Skills - ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels. documents that have appropriate organization, structure, and correct grammar
• Work Ethic - a commitment to hard work and a high ethical conduct
