Job Description:
As an Intermediate Financial Analyst representing a Shared Service Team; you will have a unique opportunity to learn, reconcile and document balance sheet management across the Affinity, Group Benefits, IIC, GIP, and IGP Operations.
Prime responsibilities will include daily and monthly inventory and balance sheet management, reporting risk, contribute to the business communications, and support ad Hoc project requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance Sheet/Inventory control management including, account reconciliations, determining best course of clearing outages and resolving outages in short turnaround time.
- Communicating At Risk issues to Financial Integrity and Control (FIC) Leader within the balance sheet, general ledger feeds and client impacts within a 10-day timeframe.
- Complete all sign off and reporting commitments with accuracy demonstrating knowledge, and risks within balance sheet reconciliation.
- Create and implement opportunities for influencing balance sheet improvements and automation with partnerships within the FIC team, business and finance partners.
- Support and meet team goals and objectives through active engagement participation and team functions.
- Embrace new opportunities and changes to manage adhoc requests and new shared service responsibilities.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by thinking big and bringing forward new ideas and changes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Finance or Business course is preferred but not mandatory.
- 2+ years prior experience in Affinity, Group Benefits, IIC or GIP with a financial mindset is an advantage.
- Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on fixed Night shift schedule.
Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:
- Prior experience with Lawson, Jets, Dart, & Trecs is an advantage.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
- Comfortable with MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proactive in executing and owning the processes and controls
- Experience in Mainframe, AWD, MS Access, SQL data server, and Power BI would be an advantage.
