Part-time Company Accountant

Unique opportunity for a senior finance professional to take on a part-time role with lots of flex on offer Your new company
Hays have partnered exclusively with a very successful family-run business who have been established in QLD for 30+ years' now, providing services to a variety of industries and loyal customers across Australia and internationally. This is a replacement role, managing their end-to-end accounting process on a permanent part-time basis (20 hours per week across 3 days - with full flexibility on your working week).

Your new role

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR/GL and cost accounting
• Prepare the month-end and year-end financial close-off processes within set timeframes
• Coordinate and be across all regulatory reporting
• Ensure quality control over all financial transactions
• Comply with tax filings, both locally and state wide
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
• Business partner with all key internal stakeholders
• Lead any CI projects in relation to finance or ad-hoc
• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making
• Mentor the accounting team

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Hold a current CPA/CA membership or equivalent
• Minimum 5+ years' of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in XERO and MS Excel
• Industrial industry experience would be preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
