As our Global Banking Partnership Manager, your primary responsibility is to foster and drive strategic partnerships with banks and electronic money institutions (EMIs) worldwide, significantly contributing to Deriv's presence in the global treasury field. Your exceptional networking abilities and deep knowledge of financial markets and products will be vital for effective performance in this role.

Your challenges

  • Identify, approach, and engage with crucial banking institutions to develop collaborative partnerships that align with Deriv's global treasury expansion goals.
  • Lead negotiations with existing partner banks and act as the primary point of contact with potential partner banks to establish favourable terms, conditions, and agreements, securing a mutually beneficial outcome for both parties.
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with partner banks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Conduct thorough research on various banking systems, financial products, and competitor activities to comprehensively understand the industry landscape and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work with our Group Treasurer and the CFO to analyse the performance of banking partnerships, providing regular progress to stakeholders and recommending actionable strategies for process improvement.
  • Lead projects to onboard new banks and maintain current relationships.
  • Work with our partner banks to design and maintain efficient global cash management structures, enabling real-time liquidity for the Group, optimising Group cash, and minimising associated risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role within banking, fintech, financial services, or MNCs
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of banks, EMIs, payment service providers (PSPs), and other financial institutions
  • Deep understanding of financial products, banking operations, and global financial markets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify growth opportunities and address potential challenges
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the financial services industry
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as and when needed
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
