Position Summary

Working primarily with financial services clients, as a Risk Consultant you will support the delivery of a broad range of Internal Audit, Controls Assurance and Risk Management projects. In these engagements you will support the delivery of detailed documentation and reports for clients while you work to achieve your qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primarily responsible for the delivery of fieldwork to clients, under the supervision of more senior staff, including:

• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation;
• Assists with examining and analysing records to determine control effectiveness or compliance; and
• Verifies transactions by comparing items to documentation
• Helps identify internal control, compliance, operational or accounting issues;

• Liaising with clients to execute fieldwork;
• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings;
• Assists with preparation of reports for review by Partner/Manager;
• Assists partners and managers in sales and marketing activities as required;
• Contributes to meetings and is able to make effective contributions to meetings/presentations;
• Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues; and
• Assist with other tasks as directed to meet client service delivery objectives and/or firm strategies and initiatives.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification

Desirable

• Relevant certification or professional membership

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

Essential

• 12+ months in a similar role
• Experience in financial services is not essential but a significant advantage
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
