Lead Accountant

• 12 month contract
• Salary: Day rate £430 umbrella
• Location: Central London
• Hybrid working

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing month end close under US GAAP, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations. Performs analysis to ensure financial integrity and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform technical accounting and compliance research.
• Proactively lead and influence cross-functionally and at all levels of management.
• Identify areas for automation and innovation and develop solutions to streamline for efficiency
• Corporate tax compliance for the Canadian subsidiary. Financial statement and tax compliance for new Canadian entity
• Responsible for compiling and interpreting financial information and support for the corporate finance department and implementing internal controls and compliance initiatives.
• Supports finance and internal customers through data reporting and analysis.
• Performs moderately complex modelling projects.
• Develops financial reports for results analysis coupled with narratives for management.

Skills/experience required:

Fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years' PQE

Experience gained in a large multi national organisation

Multi currency experience

US GAAP experience is a bonus
