Credit Acceptance is hiring a Financial Analyst - Treasury. The primary focus of this position will be to provide the Treasury team analytical support in the areas of financial analysis, capital markets and treasury operations. The successful candidate will interact with personnel from finance and operations and will have opportunities to work with senior management as well as external constituents and capital providers. The analysis and output generated by this position will assist in decisions that support the Company's financial planning and funding objectives. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the development, maintenance and evolution of tools and processes that support Credit Acceptance's funding and cash management strategy.

Outcomes and Activities:
  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan work location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on the status and performance of various debt facilities (such as a revolving credit facility, warehouse lines of credit, asset backed securitizations, and senior notes).
  • Help prepare and review the monthly servicing certificates that are provided to various parties for each line of credit and outstanding securitizations. This includes analyzing the prior month's collection activity, covenant performance, and computing and/or reviewing pool selections required to maintain adequate collateral for each facility.
  • Prepare and track covenant compliance data including calculation of financial ratios, securitization triggers and minimum credit ratings requirements.
  • This position will assist in the daily cash management function. Responsibilities include forecasting daily cash positions, parsing and sending daily securitization collections, and efficiently borrowing on or paying down the appropriate debt facility.
  • Maintain internal analysis of key treasury metrics such as asset availability, cost of debt, and borrowing efficiency.
  • Prepare and update reports to support the internal controls processes for the Treasury function to ensure the Company is Sarbanes Oxley compliant.
  • Assume responsibility for the Investor Relations website through monitoring investor questions and facilitating responses.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong analytical and modeling ability.
  • Have an understanding of a balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Organized and capable of meeting all deadlines.
  • Have knowledge of processes and controls.
  • Remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations.
  • Quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively.
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (accounting or finance preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a business environment.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Access a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.

Preferred:
  • Previous Financial Analyst experience preferred.

Targeted Compensation: $70,000 - $91,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan

This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
