ROLE PROFILE:

This is a strategic role which provides comprehensive reporting and monitoring of intercompany relationships across the LSEG group and provides guidance, structure and accounting treatment covering intercompany transactions. The role reports to the Senior Manager Transfer Pricing and sits within the Group Financial Reporting team, located in the company's headquarters based in London. The role is currently supported by the Centre of Excellence function located in India and Sri Lanka.

ROLE SUMMARY:

LSEG has a complex organisational structure with over 200 separate legal entities that operate across 5 customer facing divisions and several enabling functions. As a result of the acquisition of Refinitiv in 2021 the organisation now operates across 2 separate ERP systems. This means that there is an increased probability of intercompany breaks being reported each month which can be difficult to identify and resolve.

This role manages the intercompany numbers reported in the financial statements, identifying Intercompany breaks in both the P&L and Balance Sheet, and driving resolution of them to contribute to a successful month end close. The role is also responsible for identifying gaps within the accounting processes that affect the intercompany area and then designing and implementing solutions to close them.

This role will involve interaction with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Monitoring intercompany breaks and driving resolution to ensure these are resolved for Group reporting purposes during the month end close process.
  • Reporting of significant Intercompany breaks to management monthly and providing progress reports towards resolution.
  • Quarterly review and approval of Intercompany balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Working closely with the business and the Project Accounting team to understand any breaks, perform root cause analysis and help to implement solutions.
  • Ownership of the intercompany policy and procedures, driving continued improvement in the process and control.
  • Critical role in helping to design future state of intercompany process.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Degree (or equivalent) and qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years plus PQE.
  • Good knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Proactive approach that demonstrates initiative and will take responsibility for driving solutions.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues.
  • Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
  • Ability to utilise all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensures the most appropriate solution is identified.
