As a senior member of the team, this role will focus on sales coverage for our key UK banking community - both member and clients. Measure of success is to build a deep understanding of the sector, enabling Post Trade to offer solutions across our business services -> effective engagement, service delivery and account/revenue growth.
The role is based in London and will report to the Head of UK Sales.

The role is based in London and will report to the Head of UK Sales.
Role Responsibilities
- Post Trade Sales team has 4 main hubs in London, New York, Singapore, and Sydney. As a senior salesperson the role's key focus is to build a strong network with our UK Bank clients - with a particular focus to cultivate opportunities with the UK T2 and T3 banks.
- In addition, it is imperative the role works closely with our broader global sales team to support growth across jurisdiction as you will also be responsible to cover global banks that have business / trading hubs here in the UK.
- Building effective working relationships with our sales specialists across asset class - Listed Rates, Repo, Credit, Equities and FX as well as Post Trade Solutions.
- Contributes ideas for service and product improvement, monitors evolving market structure, and works with management to identify how the business should strategically position to deliver value for customers, retain/grow business, and ultimately grow revenues.
- Develop and maintain close relationship with GSA leads to support an effective two-way partnership with the key decision makers or potential influencers including senior level executives at each of our strategically important bank relationships
- Collaborate with cross-department business partners in the deployment of joint strategic initiatives.
- Mandatory knowledge of CCPs, clearing businesses and derivatives-related regulatory and legislative agendas, across asset classes (Swaps, FX, Repo, Equities and Credit). The role requires a strong network of senior level relationships across Clearing, Trading, Operations, Compliance with the house banking community across the UK
- A minimum of 5-7 years of sales / relationship management experience in institutional (or sell-side) sales and/or complex Post Trade product sales that require business case development and account management ownership
- A self-directed sales professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline
- Ability to prospect and build a pipeline, from identifying the right opportunities to gaining access to the right levels across an organisation; influencing and building advocacy to create the conditions to close the sale
- Works effectively independently but supports a team-oriented approach.
- An excellent communicator - written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal.
- Relevant tertiary level qualification
- Degree or equivalent experience
