Associate Manager, Financial Reporting and Control
Role Profile
The main responsibilities of this role will be preparing, developing and analysing financial information so that the London Stock Exchange Group's senior management can make well-informed decisions, leading to future stability, growth, and profitability. The role focuses on core accounting skills, working across different business divisions in order to support the whole organization.
The role has a wide remit to support the Finance team in a number of change and improvement projects supporting the financial close process, as well as monthly and year end reporting.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will have ownership for:
- Perform accounting transactions in the general ledger and sub-ledgers, including collecting, recording, and verifying financial data.
- Responsible for seamless on boarding of additional scope and aligning the process to according to the TOM.
- Ensure that the teams meet tight reporting deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Support the external audit process for companies within scope including liaising with the external auditors to address their questions and requests (CAS).
- Adherence to internal controls as per group policies and the financial control framework.
- Support Group projects and ensure seamless implementation of any new systems and processes.
- Work collaboratively in identification and support of continuous improvement activities.
- The role will be expected to partner with Entity Accountants, Financial Controller, Group Reporting, and Statutory Reporting teams and be a key member of the Finance CoE.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Finance degree or a passed finalist of a recognised professional institute (CIMA/ACCA).
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience.
- Strong track record in:
- Processing core accounting transactions and consolidations to ensure balances are correctly reflected in the general ledger.
- Financial control process including account reconciliations and substantiations.
- Analysis, production and delivery of reporting packs / schedules to represent financial performance.
- Hands on experience in Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages. Specially in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in oral & written English.
- Be a lead proponent in driving a collaborative culture to working across finance.
- Adaptable to working in a fast-changing environment to meet business priorities and deadlines.
- Strong process orientation, with ability to design robust reporting frameworks.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues.
- Maximise opportunities, i.e., challenge ways of working, adopt Group practices, seek and provide information and clarification.
- Accuracy and impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work according to UK work hours.
