Team/Role Overview:

Reporting to the Global Head of Custody Operations, this senior management role will drive the strategy and delivery of the Custody Process Support function, which resides within the Custody Operations offering within Securities Services. Securities Services Operations comprises of multiple operations groups supporting our Custody (Global and Direct), Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Securities Lending and Issuer Services businesses.

The individual will develop the detailed plan collaborating with partners across Operations, Product and Technology and will drive the projects and changes required to implement all phases of the roll out of Custody Process Support globally. They will lead the work required to deliver the new Operations processes, the Operations Location strategy and will assume responsibility for subsequent phases of delivery to reach the end state.

This role will represent Custody Process Support across all Internal forums, meetings etc, and where required, will support the Sales & Services team in client meetings and client pitch opportunities. This role will interact with internal stakeholders at a senior level, acting as escalation point as well as a strategic business partner.

The role will require the successful candidate to form effective working relationships with all stakeholders - Operations, Technology, Product, Sales & Service teams, etc. ensuring that all key project deliverables are met. The successful candidate will have a strong and detailed understanding of end-to-end operations and function.

As this role is an individual contributor role, the individual must have a mature communication style, be data led on presentation and decision making, and be able to work as part of a senior team delivering the Custody Process Support function.

What you'll do:
  • Program Management for Operations delivery of the Target Operating Model for Custody Process Support, driving and contributing to a new operating and data model, taking responsibility for making sure projects are delivered successfully
  • Working closely with the Functional and Cluster Heads of the Operations teams to define, track and implement changes
  • Responsible for project governance, organisation, delivery, planning and control, and risk and issue management for Operations. This includes the compliance to the internal Service Levels with the Sales & Service teams, as well as the Operational Service Delivery team.
  • Proactive identification and management of client experience risks through the use of standardised, accurate data, trend analysis and client feedback forums.
  • Issue tracking and management ensuring that the appropriate stakeholders are in agreement with the resolution steps
  • Stakeholder management with a range of senior leaders
  • Foster a culture of high performance and risk/control management.
What we'll need from you:
  • Extensive knowledge of the Custody business is essential on this role
  • Extensive years of increasing responsible positions in Project/Program Management and Strategy within Custody
  • Successful history of delivering change using a range of delivery approaches; on time, to budget and to auditable standards
  • Demonstrated success dealing with senior and executive management
  • Excellent People Management, Team and Leadership Skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to engage successfully in multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
