The Chief Accountant will be managing and supervising the entire accounting process in accordance with the Polish Accounting Act, as well as managing and supervising accounting postings in the Group accounting system (NetSuite) for two entities (a company and a branch of a foreign entity).

Responsibilities:
    • Managing and supervising the entire accounting process in accordance with the Polish Accounting Act for two entities (a company and a branch of a foreign entity)
    • Managing and supervising accounting postings in the Group accounting system (NetSuite) for two entities (a company and a branch of a foreign entity)
    • Preparation of annual financial statements for a company to facilitate a smooth year-end financial closure, including support during the statutory audit
    • Conducting thorough balance sheet reviews to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and timely month- and year-end closure
    • Comprehensive tax and statutory reporting (including preparation and submitting the required declarations), encompassing VAT, CIT, withholding tax, GUS, NBP reporting, and related requirements, as well as support during the respective external controls
    • Managing communication and collaboration with external institutions such as US, ZUS, GUS, NBP
    • Preparing statements and reports for the Management Board, financial institutions, and external bodies
    • Vigilance in maintaining the accuracy of accounting records in local financial software (Symfonia) and the Group reporting system (NetSuite)
    • Ongoing analysis and reconciliation of accounts
    • Leadership of the local accounting team
    • Supervision of fixed assets
    • Ensuring compliance with prevailing accounting and tax regulations, IFRS standards, and best practices
    • Furnishing precise and comprehensive financial information for reporting, forecasting, and control purposes within the organization
    • Active participation in management meetings and consistent communication with the leadership team
    • Continuous commitment to enhancing efficiency in accounting and tax processes
    • Active engagement in other projects and initiatives related to accounting

Requirements:
    • Education in Finance and Accounting
    • Strong knowledge of Polish Law in the field of Finance and Accounting
    • Good knowledge of MS Office, ability to work with Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, functions, etc)
    • Knowledge of English (B2 and above)
    • Fluent knowledge of Polish is required
    • Knowledge of Russian will be a plus.
