The Everyday Products Crew is responsible for the manufacturing and profitable growth of Retail Transaction Accounts, Retail Spend and Retail FX. Everyday Products is focussed on building innovative and value creating everyday products for all Australians. It is our role to drive the sustainable growth of our everyday transaction account products, by delivering products our customers love so they want to do all their banking with us.

Do work that matters

Reporting to the Everyday Banking Chapter Area Lead, this Chapter Lead, Everyday Accounts role will be not only play a key role in the Everyday Products squad, but also will be responsible for supporting & developing a team. As a member of the Everyday Accounts Product squad, you will support the Product Owner in developing & executing major initiatives to meet our business priorities. You will play a critical role in helping the Everyday Products Crew deliver exceptional customer and channel experiences, whilst also being responsible for ensuring changes are safely executed and risk outcomes are met. You will play a fundamental role in the day-to-day management of CommBank's core everyday transaction account products, to ensure we meet the needs of all stakeholders.

More specifically, you will:
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers to ensure they can deliver on key business objectives
  • Proactively identify, understand and manage risks across the business ensuring they are captured
  • Develop, implement and embed strategies for driving sustainable growth of everyday transaction accounts
  • Understand dynamics of the Everyday Accounts portfolio, including key drivers, trends and leading indicators, and ideate plans to adapt to changing conditions and opportunities
  • Understand the voice of the customer, be across and pre-empt impact of macro, micro and product landscapes that pertain to everyday accounts
  • Play a leading role across the broader Everyday Banking team, fostering collaborative culture and ensuring all CommBank's values are demonstrated at all times

We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Proven capability in leading and developing a team
  • Experience managing banking products and ownership of P&L
  • Strategy development skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong commercial acumen, balanced by a desire to achieve optimal customer outcomes
  • Proven capability in analysing and uplifting key customer journeys and processes
  • Proven track record of strong performance delivery
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to build and leverage strong stakeholder relationships
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Risk Management or similar
  • Risk Mindset - All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
