About This Job
The Senior Accountant position will support various areas of general ledger accounting, journal entries, monthly close, reconciliations, analysis and reporting, internal control, process improvement, system implementation and integration. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for ad-hoc accounting and regulatory/compliance research and draft memos, and other special projects as directed by Accounting Management.

• Prepare and review monthly accruals for all entities
• Prepare and review journal entries to properly account for general ledger activity
• Prepare variance analysis for expense accounts monthly, quarterly, and yearly
• Prepare reconciliations for general ledger accounts and roll-forward schedules
• Process improvement and development and maintenance of process documentation
• Analyze and document financial statement variances monthly, quarterly, and yearly
• Assist in integration and automation of financial applications
• Collaborate with business units and accounting personnel on forecasting/budget requirements
• Act as a SME for Oracle Cloud
• Vendor Spend Analysis
• Financial reporting packages / expense review with respective BU Controllers
• Review and approve GL coding on purchase requisitions
• Review SOX documentation for accounting and provide best practice guidance
• Provide information and documents to internal auditors, external auditors, and regulators
• Work with Legal department to properly accrue legal expense and reimbursements
• Coordinate and gather support for complex accounting projects and reporting initiatives
• Training and mentoring Junior Staff Accountants and Interns
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and process documents
• Special projects, as requested
