Key Functions and Responsibilities
As a Lead Full Stack Developer in Benchmarking and Indices Division in Data & Analytics, the individual will have strong UI engineering and design experience. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business collaborators to gain deep understanding of complex user journeys, workflows and data interactions involved in the Index business lifecycle to craft outstanding user interfaces using modern UI technologies.
This role reports to the Engineering Lead and will work with both internal and external index business collaborators and various technology teams involving UI engineers/developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we strive to deliver innovative products. You will be a self-starter who will be part of an empowered agile team working on key Index Platforms which adopts cutting edge technologies and AWS cloud-native architecture.

Role Responsibilities
- Work as part of a SCRUM team to deliver functionality in the Revelation product within in a DevOps environment
- Work closely with the Product Owner, UX and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, scalable, tested, and detailed capabilities that stay in sync with industry best-practices
- Contribute towards the future state architecture, design principles and standard methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers whilst actively learning and sharing new engineering skills
- Identify and highlight technical debt ensuring issues are prioritised optimally with Product Owner
- Perform code reviews and pair programming to share knowledge within the team
- Be part of an exciting programme of work which delivers tremendous value to the business by using technology as an enabler
- Bachelor's degree in computing/IT or equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of strong technical hands-on experience with proficiency in multiple technology
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Angular 8, CSS, JavaScript, Karma, RESTful APIs
- Experience with .NET technologies including C#, .NET Core
- Willingness to work in Java or Python is a must-have
- Good knowledge of OOP & SOLID principles
- Experience of Git version control e.g., GitLab
- Solid understanding of building modular UIs which are driven though RESTful APIs
- Working with Developers, UX, QA, Technical Architects and Product Owners in an Agile environment
- Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud-native services i.e. API Gateway, CloudFront, Lambda
- Experience with TDD and Integration Testing
- Experience with entitlements systems / digital rights management
- Experience with MySQL/Aurora, queues, elastic search
