Brown & Brown Insurance has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Financial Operations Audit Analyst to join our team in Tampa, FL. This position offers a hybrid schedule!

Internal Audit allows individuals to learn about the insurance industry and grow within the company. Auditors are responsible for working in a team environment which consists of planning, performing fieldwork, and reporting of Financial Operations of the Brown & Brown Profit Centers. Teammates in Internal Audit travel to many of our 200+ decentralized locations performing reviews based on processes and procedures within the Financial Operations disciplines. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare and Review the various sections of the audit programs.
• Lead the day to day operations of the Field Work and track the teams' progression to the completion of the review.
• Keep the Director of Financial Operations, the Team Leader (if applicable), the FOL/SFOL/DFO, AOL, PCL and other various members of Leadership abreast on the status of the review and the observations which relate to it.
• Prepare, review and distribute the Draft and Final Audit Reports
• Review and Assist in the Completion of Financial, Cash, and Entity level Audits as required.
• Track and Foster the growth of individual team members through on the job feedback.
• Perform Due Diligence for potential acquisitions as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or MBA
• 2-5 years public accounting or internal audit experience, public company experience preferred
• Strong Analytical Skills
• High Degree of self-discipline and motivation
• Good written and effective oral communication skills
• Pursuit of technical educations required and should have or actively be seeking CPA, CIA, CFE and/or various insurance designations
• Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter
• Willing and able to travel; minimal
• Well-groomed and neat appearance
• Organized and very detail oriented
