Job summary
The Control Assurance will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for the risk and control governance from BAU activities across different business functions in Hong Kong operations.
What will you do?
• Perform control testing to ensure the effectiveness of the controls adopted.
• Assess Design Effectiveness and Operational Effectiveness of processes.
• Ensure the RCSA is updated on timely manner and reviewed regularly.
• Analysis of internal errors and external errors to identify thematic and/or sporadic topics for enhanced training.
• Maintain a healthy operating environment by tracking set of Key Risk Indicators (KRI).
• Ensure all processes are well documented, reviewed regularly/periodically, and ensure timely update whenever there are changes made.
• Ensuring team operates at acceptable competency level by governing the training and competency assessment framework.
• Ensure to align the control environment of the processes in the scope of all Aurora team with best practices adopted in CACEIS Malaysia.
• Act as an independent governance unit reporting directly to the Head of Department.
• Maintain efficient communication channels with management teams.
• Management Reporting - project status / updates / departmental performance.
• Timely resolution/escalation of inter-departmental and cross functional queries.
• Ensure collaborative relationship across jurisdictional, functional and cultural boundaries when required for the daily operations.
• Accountable for the cross location collaboration to ensure contingency support as well as consistency in procedures and delivery.
• Maintain standards of personal and professional behaviour.
• Take responsibility for personal development and training.
• Develops others: Coaches for high performance / Builds future capabilities / Team development.

Job summary

- Reviewing and providing assurance that the control practices in respective business functions are effective, meet CACEIS enterprise level. requirements, and are followed consistently across the business functions.
- Challenging the business of their understanding of their risk and the status and adequacy of their controls, inclusive of proactive risk management.
- Provide BAU technical and change support.
- Periodic review of process to refresh understanding of requirements and review for compliance.
- Responsible for identifying areas where efficiencies and accuracy improvements can be made and implement a plan of action.
- Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank / legal holidays and weekend when require
- Maintain statistics up to date (such as Manager Operational Dashboard)
- Maintain organizational relationship with Management l
- Ensure effective resolution of enquiries.
- Identify and share development and training needs , design training plan for the year.

- Able to work under pressure following tight deadlines and/or S.L.A. requirements.

Technical skills required
- Sufficient exposure to generic operational risk framework.

- Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and country specific accounting. standards) would be an advantage.
